According to the NC Home Inspector Licensure Board 2023-2025 information* the average pass rate for the North Carolina home inspector exam is 65%
What If I Fail the Exam?
While we hope that doesn’t happen, sometimes it does. But don’t worry, we have your back. If you do fail the exam you can retake our Exam Ace pass the home inspector test course for free. You may retake the course until you pass the exam. However, we’re confident that after taking the Exam Ace course you’ll be prepared to take the exam, hence the name.
3 month wait time before you’re eligible to reapply, pay the fees again, and retake the exam
What materials should I bring?
The home inspector pass the test seminar will provide most of the materials you will need, i.e. notepad, pen, and course material. But, if you like to take notes on a laptop, tablet, or with your monogrammed Montblanc, then you’ll need to bring those.
What if I need to cancel?

Can I attend More Than Once?
Absolutely, in fact, we recommend registering well in advance of your exam date to allow for ample study time and to provide the opportunity to retake the course a second time at no additional cost. Repetition is key when prepping for the home inspector exam.
What about COVID?
We recommend you follow safe practices when it comes to your health and those around you. There is always a risk when conducting in-person meetings and interacting with others. If this presents a concern then you should take precautions and practice social distancing when possible.
Lunch, Snacks, Num Num?
Mmmm…food. Will we have snacks? Yes! Will we have coffee? Yes! Can you bring your own snacks? Absolutely, as long as you keep your chewing noises to a minimum. 🙂
During the Saturday session, provide lunch and keep on rolling as there is a lot of essential information and tips to cover.
Special Needs?
If you have special needs, as a small business we are happy to help, but we request a 3-week notice for coordination & planning purposes. Due to the age of this building elevator service is not available.
