A site visit to a local area home under construction is included when possible.
This training course is not intended to fully prepare you to conduct pre-drywall inspections. It will get you started on the path to conducting pre-drywall inspections, and provide the information you need to determine if pre-drywall inspections match your skills, interests, and business goals. Additional training and education should be considered necessary to enter this market segment and competently offer this service.

Fred Herndon
With over 30 years of experience as a home inspector and a background in the design and construction of new homes and the renovation of older historic homes, few can bring as much to the table. Home inspections are a vital part of your buying, selling, or maintenance experience. Fred served on the NC home inspector licensure board and is a licensed NC home inspector, approved NC Home Inspector Board Instructor, and Field Trainer.
Eric Coates
Eric Coates is the President of Detailed Home Inspections Inc. and a North Carolina Licensed Home Inspector (#722) with over 25 years of experience. A retired NC General Contractor and NC State graduate, Eric is deeply involved in the home inspection community as an instructor, executive director, and industry leader. He teaches pre-licensing and continuing education courses for home inspectors and general contractors across North Carolina. A Willow Spring native, Eric brings hands-on expertise, leadership, and a passion for education to every inspection and classroom.
