Home Inspector Field Training

Once you’ve completed your coursework, it’s time to start putting that knowledge to work in the field. Our field training is specific to North Carolina and is often the most fun and educational part of the field training experience.

With Casa, you’ll spend some time in our lab getting hands-on experience with common equipment you’ll find in the field. You’ll also inspect real properties alongside one of our highly experienced instructors.

We’ll cover everything from how to interact with clients and agents, NC Standards of Practice, and hands-on experience, to finalizing your reports for delivery.

Why Casa?

Our field training program provides real-world hands-on home inspection experience using a blend of classroom review, equipment mockups, and supervised inspections on actual homes in the area.  Our expert instructors will guide you through the home inspection process and work with you to develop a routine to use standardized inspection procedures and create reports from real on-site experiences.

Sessions will start at either the CASA HQ located in downtown Monroe, NC or on-site at a local area home.  We will review the applicable North Carolina inspection standards and highlight the structured inspection steps for the various systems and components. This will be followed by in-field hand-on experiences that will allow you to benefit from the knowledge and skills of our instructors and will conclude with a review and discussion session of the day’s activities and the findings from the field.  Your training will be augmented with at-home review assignments of the manufactuer’s instructions, industry standards, and guidelines.

After Your Field Training

While the field training course allows you to practice and see in person the information you learned from your classroom training, we don’t stop there.

We have a course to prepare you to pass the North Carolina home inspector examination by giving you access to our Exam Ace pass the test prep course and practice exam questions.

Our Exam Ace test prep program has a proven track record of increasing your potential to pass the North Carolina Home Inspector Exam on your first attempt.  90% of our students have passed the exam.

In addition to the exam review, you will have access to our Inspector Community where you can interact with other like-minded home inspectors who are willing to share their experiences and help build the home inspector community.

If that isn’t enough, we also provide Continuing Education, business, and ancillary service training courses to help you grow your business. These courses are either free or at a discounted rate for members of the Inspector Community.
