How much training is required?

North Carolina requires 200 hours of pre-licensing training. That consists of 120 hours of classroom or online training and 80 field training hours.

Where are the home inspector courses offered?

Online courses can be taken at any location where access to the internet is available.

In-person field training course are offered in North Carolina only, our office is located in Monroe, NC

Are home inspector training courses available for states other then North Carolina?

Yes, the online training has approved courses for most states. Access to these training programs is included in your InterNACHI membership. A list of requirements by state can be found HERE

The in-person home inspector field training may meet the requirements of other states but it is only approved for North Carolina. Checking with your specific state is recommended prior to starting any training program.

Lunch is on your own unless otherwise noted

Are there any special requirements or restrictions to become a home inspector?

It is best to check the requirements for your specific state before you start your home inspection journey. A list of requirements by state can be found HERE

Is training for ancillary service like radon and mold available?

Yes, training for ancillary services like mold and radon are available through our partnership with InterNACHI and are included in your 1 year membership. You can see why this is such a great deal!

We also periodically offer live in-person ancillary training courses throughout the year. Topics have covered have included mold, sewer cameras, pool inspections, pre-drywall, Infrared and others. Additional registration fees apply for these courses.
